From The East

Brothers,

It’s always a joy when one of us masons is called to serve our beloved fraternity in whatever capacity. Our lodge is at a very important crossroad of its existence and our unified efforts will certainly help it to continue to live through its calling. Daytime Lodge No. 144 was created to serve the brothers who could not attend evening meetings due to work schedules and/or physical inabilities to travel at night. That same reason holds true today as we embark on an endeavor to keep this noble institution afloat and allow it to grow. The State of Connecticut has a significant percentage of brother Masons who meet those criteria and it’s our duty to reach out to them and share with them the landmarks that they have grown to learn and love in Masonry. It’s a daunting task, but the rewards are proportionally significant. I know that we are moving in the right direction by the positive feedback that I have already received and the feverish dynamism of my officers. We can and will do better if we communicate our mission effectively to our intended audience.

We will be busy this first half of the year as I plan to visit many lodges in and out of our district. I will offer our help to do degree works for brothers who cannot attend night meetings, In other words we intend to do our best to “make Masonry meaningful.” Let’s get it on.

WB Lesly Saint-Victor,

Worshipful Master
